Welcome to Jewish Calendar. By accessing or using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
1. Description of Service
Jewish Calendar is a web application that helps users manage Jewish holidays, parasha readings, and personal Hebrew dates. The app integrates with Google Calendar to sync events and provides features including Hebrew date display, event importing, and calendar management.
2. Account & Authentication
To use Jewish Calendar, you must sign in with a Google account. By signing in, you:
- Confirm that you are at least 13 years of age
- Authorize the app to access your Google Calendar data as described in our Privacy Policy
- Agree to keep your account credentials secure
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app's systems or other users' data
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality or servers
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the app
4. Google Calendar Integration
By using the Google Calendar integration, you understand that:
- The app reads your calendar list and events to display them alongside Hebrew calendar data
- The app creates, updates, and deletes events in your Google Calendar based on your actions within the app
- You can revoke calendar access at any time through your Google Account permissions
5. Donations & Payments
Jewish Calendar offers optional donation tiers that unlock additional features. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Donations are voluntary and support the ongoing development of the app. Refund requests can be made by contacting us through the Settings page.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Jewish Calendar are owned by the app's developers and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the app's source code without permission
- Use the app's branding or trademarks without authorization
- Create derivative works based on the app
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Jewish Calendar is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Hebrew date calculations and holiday data are provided for informational purposes and should be verified independently for religious observance.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jewish Calendar and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, missed events, or inaccurate calendar synchronization.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
